For over 22 years, Bill has advised insurance companies on complex coverage issues involving first-party incidents, business interruption loss, and third-party claims submitted under technology, media, and privacy insurance policies. Bill also represents insurance companies addressing a wide range of professional liability, errors and omissions, and directors and officers claims throughout the U.S. Additionally, he represents them in litigation seeking declaratory judgment, rescission, and recoupment/reimbursement and defends against contractual and extra-contractual claims. Bill joined Atheria to continue addressing cutting-edge legal issues in a nurturing, collaborative and rewarding environment. Bill received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and his B.A. from the University of California, Davis.

Tina advises insurers with respect to complex claims reported under policies issued to global design and construction professionals. She also represents Lloyd’s syndicates and domestic insurers in a broad range of insurance coverage issues arising under professional liability, general liability, and excess/umbrella policies. Tina’s practice is resolution-focused, and she has negotiated multi-million dollar settlements of large, high-profile claims and coverage disputes during her career, which spans over 20 years. The first ten years of her practice were focused on complex litigation and trial work, including multi-party insurance coverage disputes, but also product liability, construction defect litigation, and medical malpractice. Tina’s trial experience is the foundation upon which she has built her current monitoring and counseling practice. As a founding member of Atheria, the firm’s growth, team-based approach, and mission of inclusion are among Tina’s proudest accomplishments—secondary to her two children and adorable puppy, Pepper. Tina received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. (cum laude) from Santa Clara University.

EJ focuses her practice on advice and monitoring of cyber and data breaches and resulting consumer lawsuits and regulatory investigations. She represents insurers and counsels clients on initial intake, incident investigation, and incident response on data security and privacy breaches, as well as related consumer lawsuits and regulatory investigations. EJ also advises insurers and monitors litigation involving technology and media. Her significant litigation experience includes complex insurance coverage disputes, class actions, and commercial business disputes for nearly 10 years. In her free time, EJ loves being out and about, exploring new places with her husband and children. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Kelly has more than 25 years of experience working with both domestic and London insurers. Her practice focuses on resolving and managing complex insurance coverage issues with particular interest in technology, privacy & cyber, and professional liability insurance, including errors and omissions, private non-profit management liability, public company directors and officers liability, and employment practices liability. Additionally, Kelly’s practice includes the drafting of policy wording. Kelly has worked in both private practice and as senior in-house claim counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company and frequently speaks on emerging coverage and legal issues. She is also an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and most recently served as co-leader of the Women At Work Committee for Dive-In America 2021.
