Job Overview:
Our San Francisco office is seeking a full-time legal assistant to support a senior partner and her executive assistant, who are part of a wonderful and collegial group of attorneys and paralegals focusing on Technology, Media & Privacy insurance claims. This position requires a professional, organized self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment. We are looking for someone who is a collaborative team player (we believe in teams and that we are stronger together!), a can-do attitude, and a proactive work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior partner and her executive assistant in managing a dynamic, high-volume, practice and project management.
- Prepare and finalize a wide variety of documents, including correspondence, memoranda, and legal materials. Proofread materials prior to issuance.
- Provide administrative support including reviewing and triaging emails and calls, scheduling conference calls, coordinating and travel arrangements, and maintaining attorney calendars and contacts.
- Maintain electronic files in compliance with current firm policies using the firm’s document management system. Update firm database and run case lists and reports for attorneys.
- Collaborate with and provide assistance to other legal assistants and paralegals to meet firm and client needs. Assist in organizing and prioritizing workload for attorneys and team.
- Foster professional, cooperative, and supportive relationships with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and diplomacy.
- Handle incoming calls professionally and expeditiously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or legal assistant certification
- 3+ years of legal or executive assistant experience required
- 3+ years of law firm or legal department experience preferred
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Database experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to complete work efficiently and independently
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to professionalism in all interactions with others
Work Location and Hours:
While Atheria supports flexible working arrangements, including remote work when appropriate, we believe that to optimize the understanding of our practice, working as a team, and best servicing our clients, in-person interaction is important. This position will be in-person three to four days per week during regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with remote work on Fridays.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $70,000-95,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience level, education/training, and relevant skills. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance-based bonus program.
