Billing Coordinator

Atheria Law, a modern law firm dedicated to representing global insurance and reinsurance clients is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator in its San Francisco office to assist the finance team with accounting and finance tasks. This position will report to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain monthly work in progress reports

• Generate the firm’s monthly draft bills for attorney review based on client billing guidelines

• Audit and prepare matter billing budgets for attorney review

• Coordinate billing and payment procedures for new and existing clients

• Manage the execution of the e-billing process, which includes but is not limited to editing, reviewing, submitting, and troubleshooting electronic Ledes files

• Maintain, organize, and calculate client invoices

• Responsible for processing and sending all client invoices

• Utilize Excel to create functions, formulas and manipulate large sets of data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of law firm experience required

• A high level of proficiency using MS Office, including Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks, Centerbase, Elite, and Clio a plus

• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

• Comfortable with math and calculations

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Work Location and Hours:

While Atheria supports flexible working arrangements, including remote work, we believe that in order to optimize our employees gaining experience, working as a team, and best servicing our clients, interaction is important. At this time, unless otherwise agreed upon, this position requires in-office attendance every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, or as otherwise needed, during regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The expected annual salary for this position is $70-85,000.
