Atheria Law Participates in Mansfield Rule Certification Process

Atheria Law is pleased to announce that the firm is participating in Diversity Lab’s Midsize Mansfield Rule Certification process. The 18-month certification program will allow the firm to be designated as a Mansfield-certified firm further demonstrating Atheria’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and ensuring the continued representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in firm leadership.

Atheria Law’s Midsize Mansfield Rule process will launch July 15.

Since its inception in 2019, Atheria Law has been committed to a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, where every voice is meaningful and is heard. The firm is made up of more than 60 professionals, including lawyers who practice in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and the United Kingdom. Providing legal services to insurers and reinsurers around the world, the firm’s attorneys and staff members understand the importance of diversity and believe their unique backgrounds, cultures and identities are key contributors to the successes they achieve for their clients in complex legal matters.

“We are excited to partner with the Diversity Lab to achieve certification through the Mansfield Rule program to continue supporting a culture of diversity within our firm and the broader legal community,” said Christina Terplan, founding partner and president of Atheria Law. “Since we formed Atheria in 2019, we made a conscious and intentional effort to weave DEI into our business initiatives and growth strategy and this formal process is further evidence of that commitment.”

The Mansfield Midsize Certification process is modeled after the initial, large firm version launched in 2017. Mansfield-certified firms have the opportunity to send their newly promoted, historically underrepresented partners to Mansfield Client Forums to build relationships with hundreds of influential in-house counsel. Mansfield has become the standard by which organizations track and measure that they have affirmatively considered women lawyers, underrepresented racial/ethnic lawyers, lawyers with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ lawyers for top leadership roles, senior-level lateral hiring, promotions to partner, participation in client pitch meetings, and other initiatives.
